Deep inside our reading class in room lurks amazing students learning. There are 4 book club groups Shakespeare's Secret, Hoot, Jackie And Me, And Sideways Stories. We have different types of jobs like Character Captain, Discussion Director, Artful Artist,Cool Connecter, and Wacky Word Finder. After that, we have to do chapter main ideas where tell 3-4 sentences about what happened in the chapter you read. Another thing is we do plot diagrams what you do is fill in who the characters and the protagonists then the antagonists, describe the setting, the problem, the climax, and the resolution. This week we watched Animated Shorts to help us practice the Plot Diagram. We also learned about how changing the setting can change the story, like in the Three Little Javelinas. Next, you have a reading log due on Friday what that is is when you’re reading a book then you fill in what page you’re on and what your goal is. Finally, you would choose a box and write about and the highest score you can get is a four. In reading we have workshop to finish up work that is due friday including book club and reading log. Thank you for reading! By Cecelia, Danny, Ishtar and Matteo
I didn’t see you there because I had my nose in a book. In Ms Arnold's class we learned about how to do our first book club assignment every body had different books there was only 4 in all. Now I am going to name the books Jackie and Me, Hoot, Shakespeare's Secret and the last one is Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Then we got our first reading log and we have to do it on our independent reading book and we have to get graded from 1~4 4 means you went above and beyond, this week lots of people are hoping to get that grade. In Mrs. Paquin Morel’s class Matteo he learned about Philippe Petit. He was the man who walked between the Twin Towers. He was watching a documentary and taking notes on the preparation id to get ready to walk between what once were the Twin Towers. |
